Home visit doctor in Perth from Perth Home GP greeting a patient at their house

Work for Perth's first Home GP Practice

Step out of the clinic and into the community. Enjoy a flexible schedule and take home $200–$300 per hour.

A new model of GP care

Perth Home GP is the first mobile GP practice in Perth to receive RACGP accreditation to deliver comprehensive, continuous care to patients at home.

Unlike locum services, we’re a GP Fellow-only service bringing full GP services to patients who face barriers accessing traditional clinics. We provide care to patient’s in their own homes. We don’t provide care in Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs).

Explore roles

Whether you’re looking to boost your income, add variety alongside your clinic work, or step out of the clinic entirely to work in the community, we have opportunities to suit every GP.

Regular Care GP

Build lasting relationships by providing ongoing care to patients in their homes.

Locum Home Visit GP

Provide one-off home visit care on weekdays and after-hours, 7 days a week.

Telehealth GP

Provide one-off telehealth care to Perth Home GP patients and the wider community.

Regular Care GP

As as Regular Care GP, you will be the lead GP for homebound patients, providing a mix of home visit and telehealth care.

More time with less patients

  • Work in the same service area providing 6–8 home visits per day, and take home more than $1800 a day
  • Many of our patients require regular reviews every 1 to 4 weeks, allowing you to build meaningful patient relationships
  • Fewer daily consults give you more time with patients and help you fill your books quickly

Deliver truly impactful care

  • Many of our patients are housebound, having gone years without a GP, so receiving our care is transformational and deeply appreciated by them, their families, and carers
  • As the patient’s regular practitioner, you are able to complete Aged Health Assessments (AHAs), GP Chronic Condition Management Plans (GPCCMPs/TCCMPs) and Home Medicines Reviews (HMRs)
  • With at-home pathology, radiology (X-ray and ultrasound), cardiology (ECG and Holter) and a full suite of portable equipment, you can provide comprehensive care just like in a clinic

Flexibility

  • Choose your schedule – from one day a week to full-time
  • Work solo or alongside an assistant (or bring your own)
  • Our locum home visit and telehealth GPs cover your patients when you’re not working

Secure earnings and a supported start

  • Receive a guaranteed hourly rate, helping you transition confidently while building your patient base

Jump straight in with a full book of our long-term patients in the following locations:

  • North Metro: 4 full days work
  • Rockingham/Mandurah: 3 full days work

Choose from just 1 day a week, up to full time work. Get in touch to learn more!

Locum Home Visit GP

You’ll deliver GP care in patients’ homes daytime and after hours, including providing cover for our long-term patients when their Regular GP isn’t available. You’ll also provide urgent care to our long-term patients when their Regular GP isn’t available.

Best suited to GPs who prefer:

  • Flexible shifts you can pick up at short notice, without any long-term commitment
  • Consulting a higher proportion of urgent care cases
  • Shorter consultations and more patients a shift (vs. regular care work)
  • To take GP care beyond the clinic and into the community

Telehealth GP

You provide care in the daytime and after hours. You’ll provide a mix of urgent one-off care and care to our long-term patients when their Regular GP isn’t available.

Benefits of telehealth at Perth Home GP vs. other telehealth services:

  • Work in a full GP practice, not an urgent care telehealth-only provider
  • High patient demand from new and returning patients, including urgent care and our long-term patients
  • The backing of a home visit team who can follow up in person if required
  • Access to Medicare rebates including longer telehealth consultation items
